| Lifeline is a personal emergency response system that allows people to call for help from anywhere in their home when they are unable to reach a telephone. Through the use of a personal help button, Lifeline can e summoned in the event of an injury, emergency or worsening medical condition. The personal help button is small, waterproof, and may be worn round the neck or on the wrist. Lifeline serves people of all ages including seniors who live alone, cardiac patients, people with chronic medical conditions and frail elderly. Lifeline supports independence and can reduce long-term hospitilizations. | |

| The transfer of current vital medical information to medical emergency personnel helps save lives, yet in times of crisis, this information may not be readily available from the patient or family member. The Vial of Life program was developed to enhance this transfer of vital information. The Vial of Life is a plastic vial containing a form for pertinent medical information. Once the form is completed, it is placed in the vial and the vial is then placed in the refrigerator at home. Stickers alerting medical personnel are placed at the entrance to the home and on the refrigertor door. | |
